Bruno Fornaroli Expected to Depart Melbourne Victory

Top Corner Australia can today report that 37-year-old striker Bruno Fornaroli has DEPARTED Melbourne Victory signalling the end to one of the most iconic A-League careers.

Fornaroli, who is currently holidaying across Europe with family, is out of contract and is not expected to return to Australia for the 2025/26 A-League Mens season. While no official statement has been made by the club, sources close to Melbourne Victory indicate the veteran forward will not feature again for Victory and will certainly not be part of the squad for tomorrow night’s crucial Australia Cup Round of 32 clash in Western Australia.

After three seasons at Melbourne Victory, the Socceroo endured a frustrating 2024/25 season battling with form and fitness as Victory fell short to silverware against rivals Melbourne City. Fornaroli’s absence from pre-season training and the recent Wrexham friendly has only added to speculation and further signs point to his departure as Fornaroli’s iconic No. 10 jersey was handed to French playmaker Zinedine Machach.

Fornaroli joined Victory in late 2022 and quickly became a fan favourite for his finishing. His legacy across the A-League spans back to 2015 when he signed with Melbourne City.

Victory fans will now look toward the future with the likes of star Keegan Jelacic joining Melbourne Victory for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
